Shipping policy
1. Delivery Areas: We offer delivery services in Guelph and to cities within a 35km radius from our flower shop.
2. Delivery Charges: Delivery fee within the city limits of Guelph is $12. For all other areas the delivery fee will be calculated based on the delivery location/address and is calculated at the time of check out.
3. Same-Day Delivery: For orders placed before 1PM Tuesday to Friday and before 11AM on Saturday, we provide same-day delivery so long that we are able to reach the recipient and set up a delivery window. Orders placed after the cut-off time will be delivered the next business day.
4. Delivery Times: Deliveries will be made between 10am-6pm Tuesday to Friday and between 10am and 4pm on Saturdays. We do not deliver on Sundays or Mondays as out shop is closed. This may change for holidays - please contact us directly at the shop for specific times.
5. Holiday and Peak Periods: During peak seasons or holidays, delivery times may vary due to increased order volumes. We recommend placing orders in advance to ensure timely delivery.
6. Recipient Information: Please provide accurate and detailed recipient information, including the recipient's name, address, and contact number. All deliveries require a correct and active phone number for the person(s) receiving the flowers, as it is our policy to call and arrange a delivery time-frame for all orders. Inaccurate information may lead to delivery delays or failed deliveries and Sweet Violets is not responsible for the delay.
7. Delivery Issues: In case of any issues with your the delivery, we will get in touch with you via the phone number provided.
8. Re-Delivery Attempts: If the recipient is unavailable at the specified delivery address, we will attempt to contact them. If unsuccessful, we will try to arrange a re-delivery on the same day or the next business day. Additional charges may apply for re-delivery.
9. Deliveries to Businesses and Hospitals: For deliveries to business locations or hospitals, please provide the recipient's business/hospital name, department or room number to facilitate smooth delivery.
10. Delivery to Gated Communities or Apartments: If the delivery location is within a gated community or apartment complex, we will typically ask for the the necessary access details (e.g., gate code, building number, etc.) from the recipient when we set up the delivery window. However, if you are able to provide that information to ensure successful delivery, please do so in the "additional information" section at the check out page.
11. Extreme Weather Conditions: In case of severe weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances that may hinder safe delivery, we will notify you and make alternative arrangements.
12. International Delivery: Currently, we only provide delivery services within our specified delivery areas and do not offer international delivery.
